OUR CHILDREN’S MINISTRY VISION AND MISSION STATEMENT
In Children’s Ministry at Fairview United Methodist Church, we dream of changing our world—one child at a time. We dream of children waking up on Sunday morning, excited to go to church and parents just as excited to take them. We envision lots of smiles as they are welcomed by familiar faces into bright classrooms where they can be kids and learn in an environment that is relevant to their age. We dream of changing our church, our community and our world by building a foundation of faith that leads to a life of devotion to Christ and multiplies the Kingdom of God, one family at a time.
Nursery care is provided for babies and toddlers during the worship services on Sunday morning (Both Campuses) and Wednesday evenings. In these classrooms parents find a warm and nurturing environment for children to stay and play while they spend time in worship. Toddlers have some Bible related stories and activities, music and crafts make learning about God fun and exciting. The Early Childhood Ministry is staffed by paid nursery managers and servant staff. All workers are trained and screened with an application and background check. Teen helpers must be in 7th grade, complete our training program and always have two other workers with them.
For 2 to 5 year olds there is Sunday School Main Campus) at 9:30 a.m. and nursery care during all worship services (Both Campuses). Children engage in age appropriate, Bible-based curriculum where they learn about God’s Word. They experience God’s Word through hands on activities including Bible stories, crafts, games, music, outdoor play and more. On Wednesday night the children enjoy a special program called Wee Wonders from 6:15 p.m. – 7:15 for 3 – 5 yrs. Wee Wonders is a Bible based program with music, Bible stories, crafts etc. The goal is to hide God’s word in the hearts of our little ones. Check church calendar for schedule!

Fusion is a ministry for 6th graders who are transitioning into the youth group. The first half of the year, Fusion is taught by the Children’s Ministry and the second half, by the Youth Ministry. Kids complete confirmation classes together but also participate in fun activities together as they grow from children’s programming to youth. Activities may include: retreats, service projects, parties, fellowship times, and learning together. During this time our goal is to provide an environment where kids can learn about the love of Christ as they form life-long friendships.
