M.O.P.S.

MOPSAre you a mother of a preschooler?  Then MOPS welcomes you to join their weekly gatherings.  MOPS is a time for women to connect without having to chase their kids around.

The purpose of MOPS Intl. is to nurture every mother of preschoolers by meeting her distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. This purpose is accomplished mainly through local MOPS meetings, but MOPS Intl. also provides other resources for mothers including the MomSense radio program and newsletter, and a MOPS web site.

MOPSMOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers International) began in 1973 when eight women gathered in Wheat Ridge, CO to share their common concerns. For two hours, while their children received care, these mothers talked, laughed, made a craft and listened to a short devotional. Now MOPS is in over 3000 churches. Today MOPS meetings follow a similar structure to that very first gathering. Mothers enjoy a time of fellowship, a program designed to address the needs and interests of MOPS, discussion groups, and a hands-on craft demonstration. While the mothers are participating in a MOPS meeting, their children are being well taken care of in a program called MOPPETS. In MOPPETS, children from infancy through kindergarten experience a caring environment supervised by trained volunteers where they are introduced to songs, crafts, and numerous learning opportunities.
