Music Ministry
Contact Wesley Rouse, Minister of Music, at 983-2080 for more information on how you can use your musical talent and leadership at Fairview. Below are some of the different Music Ministries you will find at Fairview, and we want to welcome you to come and sit in on one of our practices.
ORCHESTRA & PRAISE BAND - The Fairview Orchestra and Praise Band come together for the purpose of leading God's people in worship each Sunday. There is a place for you and your instrument in this ministry.
ADULT CHOIR - Wednesday nights are more than rehearsing for Sunday services. Adult choir men and women come together for a time of refreshing, Spirit filled singing and praise. The choir presents special programs throughout the year including Easter and Christmas. We welcome all singers who desire to lift the Name of Jesus through song.
FAITHFUL MEN - The Faithful Men's Choir is composed of mission minded men on fire for God who want to share the Love of Christ through song. They practice each Sunday at 3:00 in the Chapel and present their music at local churches and area revivals. Every other year, the group travels across the ocean to Latvia on a mission trip where they support the local Methodist Churches.
YOUTH CHOIR - Open to singers in 7th - 12th grade, the youth choir participates in several Sunday morning worship services during the year, leads Easter Sonrise and Christmas Eve Services. An annual summer music ministry tour takes the group into large urban cities to sing and minister in homeless shelters, Boys & Girls Clubs where encouragement is needed. More information: click here.
FISH STICK MINISTRY - A subgroup of youth choir, the 'Fish Sticks' use dowel rods in movement to song to create some incredibly thought-provoking performances. The group is subdivided into Junior and Senior High students and meets for an hour each week.
CHILDREN'S CHOIR - We offer a comprehensive program teaching music from the church with words and lessons from the Bible and Biblical truths using songs to reinforce those concepts. More information is located in Children's Choirs; click here to be directed to that site.
DANCE - Several groups meet and practice their gift of interpretive movement in dance as an offering to God. Presentations occur in special worship services throughtout the year.
