Yesterday was such a wonderful day for our team here in Zimbabwe. We attended services at Hilltop United Methodist church. I was asked to share the sermon and what a wonderful opportunity. There were over nine hundred children who sang from our VBS time for the service and there was not room for them to sit down. There were 3,500 adults present along with the children and not everyone could sit in the pews at the same time. The children were taken out to children’s classes and service just for them, which left us over 2,500 adults in the service. I preached on Jesus healing the demon fill man from the tombs. And gave an invitation for change, cleansing and calling, the altars were full and it took us almost thirty minutes to pray with folks. What a God moment and humbling moment to see God so real and at work in the hearts of these folks who have nothing but heartache and poverty at this time.  They were seeking God’s face and asking for his help and for the gift of hope. This time here at the project of Ishue Anesue working with the Aids children has helped once again to put into focus things in my own life. My problems are nothing compared to this hard moment in their lives. I look forward to seeing you this Sunday to share about how we have seen God at work here and want to thank Fairview for your commitment to be helping hands at this moment. Without your support there would be no hope here at all.  Our little has become much.

Please be prayerfully considering if you can join us in the new 9:15am service which will begin on Sept.19. Our hope is that three hundred folks will be the core group to get this service going. With the new Sunday school opportunities that will take place at 10:45 we will be given new opportunities for folks to be a part of a new class for study and fellowship. Please pray for our team and the ministry here as we remember you in Maryville and Fairview in our prayers daily. God is good all the time and in all places at the same time. When all else fails the Lord is faithful and we can give thanks for what God has done for us through Christ Jesus and not only us but for the folks here in Zimbabwe.        Pastor Jerry
