The Faithful Men of Fairview United Methodist Church under the direction of the great Wesley Rouse will soon be leaving for their long planned mission trip to Riga, Latvia. Their goal is to sing and minister to the people of Latvia and share the love of Christ.
The Faithful Men would like to thank everyone for the love, support, service, and prayers that has made this trip possible. We would appreciate your prayers as we travel and minister to our brothers & sisters in Christ. Pray also for our health and safety.
Schedule:
Saturday, November 1 - Work Team (Allen Garrett, Jack Graves, Chuck Gildrie, and Steve Pullins) leave McGee Tyson Airport at 11:10 a.m.
Sunday, November 2 - Work Team arrival and welcome at the Riga International Airport at 12:30 p.m.
Monday, November 3 to Thursday, November 6 - Work team will work on various repairs & projects in Riga, Latvia.
Thursday, November 6 - Faithful Men along with Pastor Jerry and supporters leave McGee Tyson Airport at 11:10 a.m.
Friday, November 7 - Arrival and Welcome in Riga, Latvia at 12:30 p.m.
Saturday, November 8 - 11 a.m. Morning Service and Concert at Riga 2nd Church (our sister church)
Sunday, November 9 - 11 a.m. Morning Service and Concert at Riga 1st Church (Gita Mednis' church) and 4 p.m. Concert in Liepas.
Monday, November 10 - Depart for Liepaja, 11:00 a.m. prayer time, singing,and walking tour of Medzas pagasts (Matras, Tashi), and 6 p.m. Concert
Tuesday, November 11 - Depart for Jelgava (pronounced "yel-gava"), tour of town, Jelgavas palace and museum. 6:00 p.m. Concert at St. Anna's church.
Wednesday, November 12 - Depart for Limbazshi for tour and dinner. 6 p.m. Concert at Lutheran Church.
Thursday, November 13 - Concert at a school. Dinner and free time and gathering at Riga 2nd Church.
Friday, November 14 - Departure for airport - Arrival in Knoxville at 4:42 p.m.
