Hello Everyone,

Well, it has been a wonderful day.  We were picked up at 9:00 and driven to a shelter for "Hope for Children".  The shelter is an an apartment with about 5-6 rooms where troubled/homeless young girls can live while they work and get back on their feet.

The room we are working one will give a couple of young girls a place to live so they can get their lives back together.  The shelter once was a shelter for young boys.  As you can see in the picture below, it was a blue room with race cars for a border.

Our work today was to move the furniture, strip the walls of old wallpaper, plaster areas where the old plaster had fallen off, prepare the walls for new wallpaper, and hang new wallpaper.  As you can imagine we were not able to get it all done so there will be additional work tomorrow.  Below is a picture of the room after we removed the old wallpaper and applied the plaster.  As you can tell, there was a lot of work to do before we could begin hanging wallpaper.

We are so excited that when we finish, two girls will have a new home.  Here is a picture of Helen.

We are looking forward to the rest of the group getting here tomorrow.  Keep us in your prayers!!!

Blessings,

Allen
