Hello Again,

On Wednesday, the Faithful Men and entourage traveled to Limbazshi which is about an hour and a half NE of Riga, but just south of Cesis.  The town is one of the oldest city's in Latvia.

Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the town.  They have a great history and they are some of friendliest people we've had the opportunity to meet.  Town itself isn't all that large but they do have a dairy plant (which is unusual since most industry is located in Riga).

After our tour, we were treated to a free meal.  This was totally unexpected.  All we had to do was to sing a song for our meal.  We sang at the local Lutheran church (which as it turned out didn't have any heat).  This was the coldest night since we have been here.  We were able to see our breath while singing.

We were blessed with over 150 guests.  Pastor Jerry chose to wear so very thin slacks and found out that it gets very cold at nights.  I believe the temperature inside the church was about 5-10 degrees colder than outside.

After the concert, we were taken to the local agricultural center for coffee, tea and desserts.  We were also given a tour of the center.  The people of Limbazshi are very proud of their little community and treated us with tremendous love and compassion.

Thursday is our last full day so we finished our tour by singing at the local Christian school.  We were received by over 350 teachers and students.  The children were excited and some had remembered us from our visit in 2004.

Thursday evening, the Faithful Men will be given a going away party at Riga 2nd.  This is always a very special night with singing, food, love and gifts.  We are very sad to leave our Latvian family but we miss our American families as well.

We will be leaving for the airport at 4:00am (9:00pm EST) so please keep us in your prayers.  As you lay your heads to bed tonight we will be departing Latvia.  We have miss everyone and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday.  We also look forward to sharing our pictures and our stories of what God has done this week.

 Blessings,

Allen
