Volunteers In Missions

A Volunteer in Missions team from Fairview goes to Guatemala every year in late May/early June.  In recent years the main emphasis has been the construction of the “Hogar del Nino” orphanage near Santa Cruz del Quiche. It is located about 3 hours northwest of Guatemala City. Other components of this team include medical/dental, bible school, and eye glasses.  The trips are usually 7-10 days in duration.  Team members stay in Santa Cruz del Quiche and travel to the work sites each day.

Who should consider going?  Individuals who are:

  •     willing to live in a simple, rustic environment
  •     willing to share God’s love in word and deed
  •     committed to work together to reach the goals of the team

This trip is a wonderful experience.  The children at the orphanage will capture your heart, and it is a place of beauty and wonder.

What is Volunteers in Missions

Volunteers in Missions (VIM) is a group of Christians who are willing to give of their time and resources to travel to Guatemala to share in construction on the orphanage in Lamoa.  It is our goal to complete the building at the orphanage.  Our medical team will be doing medical services at the Methodist clinic.
