Food Pantry and Clothes Closet
The Fairview Food Pantry/Clothing Closet is an Outreach ministry to the entire community that provides food, personal items and counseling to over 40 families each week. The visitors are provided with food and are encouraged to look for clothing for their family. The food pantry and clothes closet is open every Wednesday from 9-11:45am and every second Wednesday of the month from 6-7:30pm
While at the pantry, they are also given the opportunity for someone to pray for them. Volunteers from Fairview UMC pack food bags, help carry the bags to their cars, sort clothing and assist in finding the proper sizes, pray with those who desire prayer, purchase food at Second Harvest in Knoxville, keep the required records and deliver fo
od to the homebound. We're blessed to have 35 volunteers who work in this ministry to assist those in need.
Jim Yoakum serves as the coordinator for the Food Pantry/Clothes Closet. If you have any questions you may call the church office at
983-2080 for more information.
Come join us as we share our resources with friends in the Maryville community.
