Buddy System

If it is appropriate for a student, a buddy attends children/youth programs with the child to help facilitate successful participation in ongoing activities or special events.

Dream New Dreams

Dream New Dreams is a support group for families and caregivers of children with special needs of any age. The Special Needs Ministry supports this group by providing recreational opportunities for the children of the participating families.

Meets in the “Cracked Pots” room every Wednesday night at 6:00 pm

Quarterly Respite Events

Do you ever need a break? Our families of children with special needs do too, but often have very few resources for skilled childcare. At least 4 times a year a respite event is planned for those families. These FREE events are open to the Blount County community.

Register for a respite event HERE (Registration will open closer to our February event)

Respite events are typically on Sunday afternoons immediately following church services. Lunch and recreational activities are provided for the special needs students and siblings so parents can have some down time. Fairview volunteers partner with other community volunteers to support this much appreciated program.
